Prior to joining RWC, Vincent was the Managing Partner of Vincent, Sharon & Co. He has a strong interest and experience in general civil litigation, intellectual property (IP) & technology and corporate commercial practice.

His legal career began with pupillage at a boutique corporate commercial law firm in Golden Triangle, KL Malaysia, where he collaborated closely with local public listed companies, gaining invaluable exposure to diverse commercial dealings, and civil litigation practices.

Following his admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2019, Vincent joined a dispute resolution law firm acknowledged with Tier 1 ranking in Intellectual Property and Tier 3 ranking in Dispute Resolution by Legal500.

Subsequently recruited by a multinational technology company in Singapore, Vincent assumed the role of Regional Legal Counsel, overseeing portfolios encompassing Intellectual Property, Technology Procurement, and Brand Protection matters.

Vincent’s expertise encompasses handling infringement proceedings in the Courts of Malaysia, advising local and foreign clients on worldwide trademark registrations via the Madrid System, managing licensing, assignment & enforcement of IP rights (including brand protection and anti-counterfeiting strategies), handling domain name dispute resolution (DNDR), and ensuring regulatory compliance, particularly with regard to personal data protection.

Beyond IP, Vincent frequently handles employment disputes, commercial disputes and insurance & reinsurance litigations. His experience further extends to corporate and commercial legal advisory roles, such as drafting commercial agreements, and assisting in legal due diligence exercises for initial public offering (IPO).

Presently, Vincent serves as the appointed Legal Consultant for Midwifery and Postpartum Treatment Association Malaysia. His professional memberships and achievements include being the sole Malaysian representative on the Young Practitioners Committee at the International Trademark Association (INTA) for the 2022-2023 term and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee for the 2024-2025 term. Additionally, Vincent holds Associate membership in the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), United Kingdom; Asian International Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR); and is a Registered Trademark & Industrial Design Agent at the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO).

In his spare time, Vincent dedicates himself to pro bono legal services at the National Legal Aid Foundation. He has contributed to research and co-authored the book “Manoeuvring Corporate Governance in Malaysia: Litigation Perspectives.”

Vincent is fluent in English, Malay, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
