Lim Tse Hwei (Partner)
Tse Hwei holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Malaya. She was then admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on July 4, 2013. Tse Hwei has 10 years of experience in the litigation and corporate field, with clients from governmental corporations and educational institutions.
With a diverse range of practice in civil litigation, Tse Hwei has conducted employment, landlord-tenant, commercial, tax, maritime and civil matters for governmental corporation and notable clients. She has also advised and drafted key documents for corporate clients on retrenchment and employment issues.
With an eye for detail, Tse Hwei is a long-serving member of the editorial team of the Malacca Bar’s newsletter, Re:Lex and the Malacca Bar’s Publications Sub-Committee. She also served as the Chairman of the Malacca Bar’s Publications Sub-Committee for the term 2022/2023. She also proof-reads articles for non-governmental organizations on a pro-bono basis.
Tse Hwei was accredited as a Mediator by the Malaysian International Mediation Centre (MIMC) in 2023, and was subsequently selected to undergo training by the MIMC to be a Mediation Coach and Trainer.
A firm believer of the importance of intentional youth development and education, Tse Hwei has actively served as a volunteer in the committee of a weekly youth programme for a diverse group of youths since her return to Melaka in 2013, and was also the Secretary of the Malacca Theatre Group for two terms. She also tutors final-year students in the Multimedia University of Melaka in the subjects of Civil Procedure, Civil Advocacy, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Professional Practice. She was part of a team of trainers for the Multimedia University of Melaka’s National Mock Trial Competition teams which eventually emerged as the National Champions and Second Runner-Up, respectively.
