On 11th September 2020, the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) hosted a workshop on Understanding Esports: Legal Rights and Implications as part of the on-going AIAC September Sports Month 2020. Our Partner, Marlysa Razak was invited as a panellist to conduct this workshop together with two fellow speakers namely; Mr Joseph Cheah of Paul Cheah Associates and Mr Bryan Boo of Bryan & Co.

At the workshop, Marlysa addressed the different modes of dispute resolutions in Esports and types of disputes arising within the Esports community with reference to on-going and decided cases around the world. Marlysa also explored possible solutions to disputes in Esports. She explained the solution to several disputes in Esports. The talk was well-received with a fairly large crowd in the auditorium at AIAC.
