Wong Xue Bin, Eric (Associate)
Eric Wong graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London in 2020. Prior to commencing his legal career, he served as the Head of the International Trade Department at Alliance Steel (M) Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s largest multinational steel enterprise. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was awarded the Top Performer – Employee of the Year Award in 2023, during which he also successfully completed the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP).
Throughout his pupillage with a reputable law firm, Eric worked closely with his Pupil Master and other senior partners, gaining hands-on experience in court proceedings, client consultations, and case preparation. His exposure to diverse practice areas, including trade remedies, civil litigation, and construction arbitration, has equipped him with a strong foundation in both legal strategy and commercial insight. He was thereafter admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in September 2025.
With a unique combination of industry experience in international trade and comprehensive legal training, Eric brings a commercially attuned and results-oriented perspective to his practice. He is presently involved in corporate and commercial matters, and his practice centres on cross-border trade and investment as well as projects relating to the firm’s Belt and Road Initiative Law Desk. He remains committed to delivering comprehensive, pragmatic, and client-focused legal advice tailored to clients’ needs.
Outside of work, Eric enjoys reading, travelling, swimming, and film appreciation.
