Ann graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree in 1995 and obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice in 1997. She holds a Masters in Law Degree from the National University of Malaysia (2000).
Ann started her career as an academician teaching on the Malaysian Certificate in Legal Practice, University of London, University of Manchester, Oxford Brookes University and the University of Tasmania law programs in Malaysia. She was also visiting lecturer for a private college in Hong Kong and Singapore and even spent a year teaching law in Australia. Ann ended her academia career after 15 years, as Head of School and Dean for the School of Law at KDU University College, Malaysia.
Ann was then admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2011.
In the same year, Ann joined the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA) (now known as the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC)), as Deputy Head of Legal Services, heading the construction adjudication unit in its pioneering efforts to establish KLRCA as the sole adjudication authority in Malaysia as charged by the Malaysian Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA). Ann was instrumental in the drafting of the KLRCA Guide to CIPAA 2012 and the setting up of the KLRCA Adjudication Training program which awards certification to candidates to serve as Adjudicators.
She was then promoted to Head of Business Development in 2013, leading the marketing and expansion endeavours of the KLRCA. Ann participated and organized numerous conferences and events promoting the KLRCA on the domestic and international front.
In 2015, Ann joined the Mulia Group, an Indonesian property development company in its first construction foray to Malaysia. Mulia is the developer of the iconic Exchange 106 at the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX). Ann heads the Legal Department at Mulia.
Whilst maintaining her legal portfolio at Mulia, Ann leads her team at RWC as the Director of Commerce & Development, implementing and spearheading the firm’s blueprint of commercial and intellectual expansion.
